Property description
Brookwood is a substantial six-bedroom house on Princes Drive, within Oxshott’s private Crown Estate. Designed in the Georgian style, its symmetrical façade, sash windows and pedimented entrance introduce beautifully proportioned interiors. The property extends to approximately 11,610 sq. ft., including the separate swimming pool complex and integral triple garage.
An impressive entrance hall forms the centre of the ground floor, with columns, polished patterned flooring and a sweeping staircase. The principal reception room stretches almost 30 feet, with a fireplace and French doors opening onto the rear terrace. A separate dining room also overlooks the garden, while a further dining/TV room and an office provide additional space at the front of the house.
The kitchen and breakfast room opens into a generous family room, creating a sociable setting for everyday life. Dark cabinetry, integrated appliances and a substantial island give the kitchen a contemporary finish, while broad windows, rooflights and garden doors bring natural light into the space. A utility room, cloakroom and plant room complete this floor, with internal access to the triple garage.
On the first floor, the principal suite comprises a bedroom, separate sitting room, two dressing rooms and two bathrooms. Fitted cabinetry provides extensive storage, while the bathrooms feature freestanding baths and separate showers. Two further bedrooms each have an ensuite shower room. Above the garage, a substantial games room offers ample space for a pool table and seating.
Three additional bedrooms occupy the second floor, served by two ensuite bathrooms and a separate bathroom. This arrangement provides generous accommodation for family and guests, with a degree of separation from the principal suite below.
The gardens combine broad terraces, lawns and formal planted beds, framed by mature trees. A path leads to the separate pool house, where extensive glazing and rooflights surround the indoor swimming pool. A bar/solarium, changing room, shower and WC complete the leisure facilities. At the front, the gated driveway provides parking for six to eight cars in addition to the triple garage.
Princes Drive lies within the Crown Estate, close to Oxshott village and the woodland walks of Oxshott Heath. The area offers a choice of established schools, including Danes Hill, Reed’s and ACS Cobham, alongside shops, restaurants and sporting facilities. Oxshott station provides direct services to London Waterloo, while the A3 and M25 connect the area with London, Heathrow and Gatwick.
