Property description
Property ID: 943410
I bet you started out looking for the flat you will love, not to find the cheapest, the noisiest, the smallest or just the poorly maintained.
But somehow that's what you're now considering: Yes, carefully photographed cramped rooms that look large enough, electric heating that's over 3 times the cost of gas, no bath, no curtains, no garden, and fumes and noise from the busy road that pictures can't warn you about. What about all the things missing you hadn't noticed - simply not there to be seen? Missing whitegoods? No Fibre Internet? Noisy neighbours? You want pleasant views? Parking? A landlord you can actually reach 24/7, not an agency answering machine?
No one dreams of living in the cheapest quality, noisiest location, cramped rooms and rented via an agency for a reason. Your home defines your life; your own home compared with your friends' homes boosts your happiness - proven ('psychology of happiness'). The home you choose is much more than just a place to sleep and eat.
Let me offer you the flat I designed for myself, at a price only slightly more than the flats that'll make you ask yourself every day "is this all I believe my life is worth?"
Are you worth it?
- Income over about £27,000 (single person) or £35,000 (couple)
- Savings over £3,000 (per person/couple)
- Reliable work and rent history
Smokers welcome, choose kitchen or front garden. Not appropriate for pets, kids, those under 30yo, or other than a quiet life.
So sorry if this doesn't describe you, but if it does - you MUST READ THIS FULL DESCRIPTION before you message me!
Free uncapped and unlimited fibre Internet. Gas central heating through oversized radiators for fast, economical heating through the coming winter. Gas hob for easy cooking, fan-forced oven for even baking. Fast-spin Hisense washing machine, upside-down frost-free Bosch fridge/freezer to save your back. Extractor fan you can control from your smartphone (yes, really!). Rainfall shower and toe-friendly taps for soaking in the full-length bath, heated towel-rail within easy reach. Ceiling-hung Victorian clothes airer above the radiator for efficient and free indoors laundry drying. Thick carpet and premium underlay for noise suppression and warmth underfoot. LED lighting throughout, windows with views from every room, exposed living-room chimney-breast with TV mount and aerial/HDMI hidden wiring already neatly in place, and all the large furniture in place so you can move in easily and as leasurely as you like. Even the bed is made and ready for your first night. Oh, did I mention the two electric recliners?
And outside space? Of course, the front garden with its lawn and rustic bench ideal for your morning coffee in the sun. This is a quiet road with no yellow lines, and you'll often park right outside this huge Victorian house.
Social media 'influencers' show the best homes they can find - not the cheapest - for a reason.
Wake up in this natural light filled and truly spacious 67m2 flat in a peaceful yet central location, and with a value well above its price. First floor for lovely views, garden just out the front for relaxing on sunny days. Live the life you're no longer desperate to leave. As the gentleman in the top flat said to me, two years after moving from the small flat he'd been in for many years: "I love it here." (Aug 2026).
I'm David, and I bought this Victorian building because it was grand, big, quiet. Not because it was cheap. I've personally lovingly restored each of the four flats to create warm, spacious and comfortable homes with high quality fittings that are a joy to use. Set in beautiful gardens, front and back. I also live in the building, in one of the other flats, the resident landlord you can find any time you need me.
'You get what you pay for' has never been more true than about the property you choose to live in; because everyone can immediately see what it has - and what the others are missing.
