Property description
Exceptional 4 double bedroom, 4 bathroom contemporary home close to Hamble village and the River. Stunning upside-down open-plan living with water views, large entertaining terrace with outside kitchen, hot tub and dedicated sailing drying/wash-down room. AVAILABLE NOW.
An exceptional contemporary four bedroom, four bathroom home occupying a prime position close to the heart of Hamble village, with striking modernist architecture, spectacular upside-down living accommodation and far-reaching views towards the River Hamble.
The property forms part of a private and architecturally significant modernist estate, designated as a conservation area and offering a distinctive sense of setting and design continuity. Beautifully conceived for both everyday living and entertaining, the accommodation has been arranged to make the very best of its position, natural light and outlook.
The ground floor is dedicated principally to the bedroom accommodation, with four generous double bedrooms, each benefiting from its own en-suite bath or shower room.
The principal bedroom is particularly impressive, with extensive fitted storage and doors opening directly outside. A separate WC provides additional convenience.
Practicality has been equally well considered, with a dedicated utility room together with a separate sailing drying and wash-down room – an invaluable addition for anyone looking to make the most of Hamble's waterside lifestyle.
A striking staircase rises to the first floor where the house really comes into its own.
The contemporary open-plan kitchen, dining and living space is wonderfully light and expansive, with extensive glazing and sliding doors drawing the eye towards the water and creating a seamless connection with the outside entertaining areas.
The sleek modern kitchen forms the heart of this impressive space, with a large central island creating a natural gathering point, while the adjoining dining and living areas provide plenty of room for entertaining or simply relaxing and enjoying the outlook.
Large sliding glazed doors open onto the substantial upper terrace, creating an exceptional extension of the living accommodation. With an outside kitchen and plenty of space for dining and lounging, this is a fabulous setting for summer entertaining, evening drinks and enjoying the views towards the River Hamble. The architectural plans also show the outdoor kitchen and glazed wind protection incorporated into this level.
Outside, the property continues to impress with contemporary landscaped entertaining areas and a hot tub, providing another private space in which to relax.
Despite its wonderfully private and individual setting, the house is within easy reach of the heart of Hamble village, renowned for its sailing community, marinas, yacht clubs, pubs and restaurants. The foreshore and riverside walks are close at hand, while the surrounding area offers excellent opportunities for sailing, paddleboarding and enjoying life on and around the water.
A genuinely individual home combining striking contemporary architecture, exceptional entertaining space and a superb Hamble location.
