Property description

Situated in the heart of Warsash Village itself, an iconic and unusual locally listed residence; this historic building was constructed in the late C19th and built to supply water to Warsash House, which was once a substantial estate. The clock was built originally by Gillett and Johnston, who have been making and restoring clocks since 1844. This is truly a remarkable building, a landmark for the village, and benefiting from outstanding 360 degree views over Warsash, Southampton Water and the River Hamble. The ground floor benefits from two bedrooms and a bathroom. On the first floor is a split level dining room with steps up to the kitchen/ breakfast room. This has been beautifully fitted with ample wooden cupboards with granite worktops, butler's sink, Miele coffee machine and an Aga. The Master bedroom is situated on the next floor with an en-suite shower room, a further staircase takes you to the top floor sitting room- this room is glorious, well proportioned with 360 degree's of glazed windows affording views over Warsash and the river beyond. The Clock Tower has two parking spaces. Warsash is a charming maritime village which is home to the Hook Nature Reserve, a 500-acre inter-tidal area and is also one of the most popular centres for sailing enthusiasts on the South Coast with a well subscribed Yacht Club and the Royal Southern and Royal Southampton Yacht Clubs nearby. There are links to Hamble Village via a ferry for pedestrians and cyclists where you can access the Royal Victoria Country Park.
