Property description
Soane Lettings are proud to introduce Hippodrome House. A landmark collection of brand-new luxury studio apartments in the heart of Portsmouth's Guildhall district.
Designed for modern city living, these beautifully finished studios combine contemporary interiors, excellent facilities and an unbeatable central location, ideal for professionals and students looking for something a little more premium.
Each private studio has been newly created and finished to a high standard, featuring a modern fitted kitchen, fridge and cooking facilities, with configurations varying between apartments to include a hob, microwave and/or oven. Stylish marble effect shower rooms, contemporary lighting and an all electric specification complete the clean, modern finish.
Residents at Hippodrome House also benefit from an impressive range of facilities, with internet included, communal bicycle storage, lift access and a secure LED video entry system, providing residents with enhanced visibility of the building and surrounding CCTV.
And behind the contemporary finish is more than a century of Portsmouth history.
The original Hippodrome Theatre opened in May 1907, becoming part of Portsmouth's thriving entertainment scene and hosting almost 1,900 people at its height. The theatre was destroyed during the Portsmouth Blitz in January 1941, before the site was redeveloped in 1982 as the office building Portsmouth residents came to know as Hippodrome House.
More than 40 years later, the building begins another chapter.
Hippodrome House has now been transformed into an exciting new residential development, placing residents right in the centre of Portsmouth and moments from the Guildhall, shops, restaurants, nightlife, transport links and most importantly the university facilities.
