Jericho is a vibrant and lively place to live and highly desirable with its close proximity to the city centre. Voted by The Times as one of the 30 coolest places to live in Britain in 2019, Jericho has an art house cinema, a number of popular pubs and restaurants, and is in an ideal location for access to the University departments. Oxford canal and Port meadow are close by, providing space to enjoy peace and tranquillity. Oxford train station is less than a mile away with regular trains to Reading and London, in addition to frequent buses from Gloucester Green in the city centre.
Applicants are advised that it will be necessary to carry out remedial works to the outside spaces and external walls following recent surveys.
Within the next year, improvements to the drainage systems will be made to four of the Grantham House roof terraces. Works will take place during the day, are likely to last 6 weeks, and will be confined to the Cranham Terrace end of the block.
Applicants are also advised that we have been informed of similar defects affecting balconies within the building. As a precaution, and until further guidance is provided by the surveyors, we have kindly asked residents to refrain from using balconies and to avoid storing any heavy items on them. Applicants should consult with the agent as to whether the property they are interested in is affected.
External wall works are still under consultation. Scope and duration are yet to be determined, but they are unlikely to commence before autumn 2027. Peerless Properties, the buildings management company, will keep all residents informed.
