The King Edward VII Estate
Steeped in history and surrounded by stunning countryside, the King Edward VII Estate offers a truly distinctive place to call home. Originally designed as a tuberculosis sanatorium in 1901, the building was officially opened by King Edward VII on 6 June 1906 and was regarded as one of the finest hospital buildings of its time. Following an extensive restoration, the estate has been transformed into an exclusive residential development, combining architectural heritage with contemporary luxury.
Residents benefit from an impressive range of on-site facilities, including a gym, swimming pool, access to the former Ladies’ Reading Room and Nurses’ Dining Hall, and approximately 165 acres of private woodland walks. A guest suite is also available, subject to the estate’s arrangements, while the friendly concierge service can assist with deliveries and provide helpful information about local amenities and activities.
Located in the heart of the South Downs National Park, the estate offers an enviable balance of tranquillity, natural beauty and convenient access to the amenities of Midhurst and the surrounding area.
