Property description
Behind a handsome stock-brick façade, this newly renovated family home brings a playful energy to its Victorian bones. Step inside and the ground floor unfolds as a series of inviting, well-appointed living spaces.
A double reception room sets the tone. Light pours through a west-facing bay window dressed in floor-to-ceiling curtains, bathing sage-green walls in natural light. Here, a grey sofa sits opposite a marble fireplace with a working log burner, flanked by built-in shelving and complemented by original crown mouldings. Douglas fir floorboards lead seamlessly underfoot into the adjoining dining area, where peach walls and characterful antique furniture add warmth and personality.
At the heart of the house, a Tuscan-inspired kitchen blends craftsmanship with colour. Bauwerk limewash forms a textured backdrop for pastel-hued Shaker Workshop cabinetry that echoes across a central island-cum-breakfast bar, teamed with London Bar Stools and Alice Palmer pendants. A double-fronted Rangemaster oven and Fisher & Paykel fridge freezer elevate everyday practicality alongside an oak dining table. Underfloor-heated limestone continues into an informal sitting area, where full-width sliding doors draw the eye to a secluded courtyard garden. Trellised walls laced with climbing plants, pockets of tropical palms and a dining table for six promise easy outdoor living.
A Sophie Cooney Rudis Via runner leads the way to a tranquil first floor. Each bedroom features an Emma mattress and is dressed with Rowen & Wren and Meli Meli soft furnishings. The principal suite enjoys a bay window, an original brass working fireplace and Champagne-toned fitted wardrobes and walls. Four further bedrooms, in muted hues, maintain the home’s calming palette and are served by a well-appointed shower room as well as a family bathroom
*Please note that this property comes part-furnished.
