Property description
A furnished two bedroom, two bathroom apartment of 829 sq ft in Vernon House, part of The 1840 at Springfield Village in Tooting, a Grade II listed Victorian building restored and converted from the former Springfield Hospital. Tooting Bec Underground station is a short walk away.
The open plan kitchen / reception is the centre of the apartment, with tall period windows on two sides and herringbone flooring. The kitchen runs along one wall in handleless white units with wood-effect wall cabinets, a marble-effect splashback and integrated ovens, leaving the rest of the room free for a dining table and a generous seating area.
The principal bedroom is a long, light room with tall sash windows fitted with shutters, full-height fitted wardrobes and its own en suite shower room finished in marble-effect tiling with a walk-in shower. The second bedroom also has shuttered period windows and works equally well as a guest room or a home office.
The main bathroom has a bath with a glass screen and overhead shower, wall-hung sanitaryware, brass-finish fittings and full-height tiling. A separate utility room keeps laundry out of the living space.
