Property description
Ragged House sits at the end of Vine Hill, a quiet cul-de-sac just off Clerkenwell Road. The building has an interesting history, originally forming part of the Ragged School movement before being converted into a small collection of apartments. Its historic character remains evident, and the building sits within the Hatton Garden Conservation Area.
This delightful two-bedroom apartment extends to approximately 657 sqft, with high ceilings and a well-considered layout separating living and sleeping areas, without compromising the sense of space.
The reception occupies the west-facing side of the apartment and the kitchen, dining, and seating areas are brought together in one open room, with the kitchen positioned discreetly at one end so most of the space remains dedicated to living and dining. The western aspect brings in afternoon and evening light, while a built-in desk and shelving at the far end provide a defined and rather handy dedicated home workspace.
The bedrooms and two bathrooms are positioned at the opposite end of the reception. The master has built-in wardrobes framing the bed, an en-suite shower and Juliet balcony. The second bedroom, also a cosy double with its own built-in storage, and the family bathroom, are immediately adjacent.
The apartment is particularly well placed for the best of Clerkenwell, Farringdon and Hatton Garden. Clerkenwell Road, Exmouth Market and Hatton Garden are also close by, with a strong mix of independent restaurants, cafés and bars. St John Smithfield, St Barts, Luca, Bouchon Racine, Ibai, Cloth, and Space Talk, are all within a ten-minute walk away.
Farringdon is also within walking distance, providing Elizabeth line, Thameslink and Underground connections, while Chancery Lane and King’s Cross St Pancras are also easily accessible from the apartment.
Available for immediate long let and offered furnished.
