The Property:
A spacious and characterful four-bedroom home in a tucked-away position just off the Promenade, with a front garden, generous courtyard and accommodation arranged over three floors.
Accessed through a private gate just off the Promenade, South Place is approached via a paved pathway through an attractive front entrance garden, planted with established shrubbery, foliage and a palm tree. The property has a particularly attractive original entrance door, framed by a pergola. The front door opens into a useful entrance porch, providing an ideal space for coats and shoes before entering the main accommodation.
The property opens into a generously proportioned lounge, which is full of character with traditional-style panelling, wooden flooring, decorative coving and large windows. From here, a hallway leads through to the dining area, with a downstairs WC conveniently positioned off the hallway. The bright dining room features French doors opening directly onto the rear courtyard, creating a good connection between the living space and outside. Beyond the dining area is the fitted kitchen, which includes an oven and hob, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Returning through the lounge, a further rear hallway provides access to the staircase and also leads directly out to the rear courtyard.
On the first floor, there is a large family bathroom featuring a double walk-in shower, separate bath with a window above, WC, wash hand basin with a large matching mirror and heated towel radiator. The first floor also provides two bedrooms. The particularly spacious master bedroom benefits from two large original windows, a feature fireplace and decorative coving. The second bedroom is also a good size and includes built-in storage and shelving, together with a large window.
A further two bedrooms are located on the top floor, providing four bedrooms in total. Both rooms feature wooden flooring and attractive vaulted ceilings, with one enjoying views across Kingsbridge and the surrounding town. Outside, the property benefits from a private rear courtyard garden, enclosed by attractive stone walls and incorporating trellising, established planting and space for outdoor furniture. There is also an outbuilding to the rear and a wooden gate providing access to the rear alleyway, meaning the property can be accessed from both the front and rear.
The combination of generous accommodation, original features, wooden flooring and distinctive interiors gives the property a great deal of character, while its position just off the Promenade makes it particularly convenient for enjoying Kingsbridge and its amenities.
