Early Surrender of Tenancy (at tenantâs request): If the tenant wishes to end the tenancy early and the landlord agrees to re-let the property, rent liability will cease once a new tenant takes occupation. However, the tenant is responsible for covering the landlordâs reasonable costs for surrendering and re-letting the tenancy.
