Seymours in Godalming are delighted to offer this attractive detached family home, which has recently undergone a programme of refurbishment and updating and is now ready for occupation.
The ground floor provides an excellent amount of living space. A generous 21' sitting room sits to the front of the property, while the impressive 27' kitchen/dining room forms the heart of the home and provides plenty of space for both everyday family life and entertaining.
Across the rear is a particularly impressive 30'10" garden room, enjoying views over and direct access to the garden. There is also a separate sun room, providing further flexible living space which could work equally well as a study or home office. A ground-floor shower room completes the accommodation on this level.
Upstairs are four bedrooms, including an impressive principal bedroom measuring approximately 20'11" x 9'3", together with two further good-sized double bedrooms and a fourth bedroom. The first floor also provides both bathroom and shower facilities.
Outside, Myrtle Cottage occupies a generous plot with a large private garden and ample off-road parking. One of the property's particular attractions is its position overlooking Elstead Common, providing an attractive outlook and immediate access to the surrounding countryside while remaining conveniently located for the centre of the village.
Elstead is a highly regarded Surrey village surrounded by beautiful countryside, with a welcoming community and a good range of local amenities including village shops, pubs, a convenience store, primary school and recreational facilities. The area is well served by excellent local schools and provides convenient road links to Godalming, Farnham, Guildford and the A3. Mainline railway services to London Waterloo are available from nearby Godalming, Milford and Farnham.
The combination of four bedrooms, extensive ground-floor living space, a large garden and superb position overlooking the Common makes Myrtle Cottage particularly well suited to a professional couple or family looking for a long-term home in a desirable Surrey village.
