Property description
A charming 2 bed end-of-terrace cottage with lovely period features, a large private south-facing garden and mainline stations a short drive away.
The accommodation comprises two double bedrooms, an upstairs bathroom, an inviting open-plan sitting and dining room, and a characterful farmhouse-style kitchen. There is also an outside store with a WC.
A pretty front garden has steps leading to the entrance, while a gated side path provides access to the kitchen and an adjoining patio. Beyond lies a beautifully maintained, level south-facing garden with mature shrubs and plants, a greenhouse and two sheds offering useful storage.
Burwash is one of the most sought after villages in the area and has a village shop/post office, butchers and a few other local shops, two pubs, a community centre and internet cafe. Only 2.6 miles from Etchingham main line station and surrounded by protected countryside, some of which is National Trust land belonging to Batemans. There are multiple public footpaths and places of interest nearby making it ideal for a holiday cottage investment. The coast is about 30 minutes drive, as are the larger towns of Tunbridge Wells, Hastings and Eastbourne. Heathfield is about 8 miles and has four supermarkets and a good range of shops, cafe's etc.
