Property description
We are delighted to be offering for rent this lovely character cottage in the handy little village of Lower Darwen.
Perfectly situated on a quiet street in Lower Darwen where there is no through traffic, shops just around the corner, and all other village amenities are just a stones throw away, you'd struggle to find anywhere as convenient.
The village has two excellent primary schools and a nearby secondary school. Access to M65 couldn't be better…. being situated between two junctions of the M65. The brand new Royal Infirmary is a short drive away too…
So more about the property itself…
Entering by the front door, there is a vestibule which leads into a snug, cosy lounge which is very typically a cottage….. beams on the ceiling, and a stone feature fireplace give it an almost farmhouse feel. It also benefits from new carpets and decor.
At the back of the house we have the kitchen. Again very cottage style…. plenty of work surface and cupboard space… space plumbed for your washer and there is a fee-standing electric cooker. A barn style door leads out to a private rear yard that is very secure as the private back alley can only be accessed through a wrought iron gate which is locked (we will give you a key).
Then there is the family bathroom, which is unusually situated on the ground floor. But nonetheless fulfils its role well and is comprised of a wc, wash basin, and fitted bath with brand new electric shower over. There is additional storage space under the stairs - great for hiding all that stuff you need to hide…
The stairs to the first floor lead up from the kitchen.
A large Master Bedroom is situated at the front of the house. It's a huge room with neutral decor and new carpet. it's a very cosy room being double glazed and benefitting from a large radiator.
A second Double Bedroom is at the rear of the house. It's an 'L' shaped room and benefits from double glazing, new carpets and decor.
All in all we have a cracking house in the very popular village of Lower Darwen. We know demand will be high for this one so we suggest you book your viewing soon… very soon!
