Rodmarton is a pretty village set in open Cotswold countryside, just north of the A433, around four miles from Tetbury and a little further from Cirencester. It has a parish church and a well-regarded primary school. The larger neighbouring village of Kemble has another primary school, a village shop and a railway station, with regular trains to London Paddington in around 75 minutes.
Tetbury is the closest town and covers most day-to-day needs. It has well-regarded schools, gyms and sports facilities, supermarkets and an outpatients hospital, along with independent boutiques, delis and plenty of places to eat and drink. Cirencester, often called the capital of the Cotswolds, is a short drive further. It adds a Waitrose, a leisure centre, secondary schools and a sixth form college. Independent schools nearby include Westonbirt School and Beaudesert Park at Minchinhampton.
For drivers, the A417/A419 dual carriageway gives quick access to the M4 and M5, and on to Bristol, Bath, Gloucester and Swindon.
