56 Spitalfield Lane is a well-proportioned one-bedroom ground floor flat forming part of an attractive Victorian semi-detached property, built in the traditional Sussex flint and brick style.
The accommodation is accessed from the side of the building, with the entrance opening into the kitchen. This is fitted with a range of units and work surfaces, together with an inset sink, boiler and useful storage cupboard. From here there is access to the bathroom, which is fitted with a bath with shower over, WC and wash basin.
The sitting/dining room is a comfortable and versatile living space, with a feature fireplace, a large built-in storage cupboard and good natural light. A further door leads through to the bedroom, which is a generous double room with a large bay window to the front. The bedroom also benefits from an original open fireplace with an ornate surround and decorative tiled hearth, adding plenty of period character.
To the rear, the property benefits from its own private lawned garden, accessed from the kitchen. There is also an allocated off-road gravel parking space to the rear, approached from Melbourne Road.
Overall, the flat offers a good balance of character, practical accommodation and outside space, making it a particularly appealing rental in a convenient Chichester location.
