Location
Withington is a particularly unspoilt rural hamlet set within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Located between Cirencester and Cheltenham, the village supports a Parish Church, primary school and a well-known riverside pub, The Mill Inn. It is set in some gently undulating Cotswold countryside and the property enjoys rural views across open countryside beyond the garden. The Whiteway, an old trading route, gives direct access into Cirencester where there is a good range of shops, schools and recreational facilities.
The A40 provides access to Cheltenham and the M5 to the west and Oxford and London to the east. The Regency town of Cheltenham Spa, to the north, provides excellent shopping and schooling facilities and numerous cultural activities including the Everyman Theatre and a number of galleries and museums. It also plays host to a number of annual festivals including literature, classical music, jazz, science, cricket and of course the National Hunt Racing Festival. There are several popular private and state schools in Cheltenham including Pates, Dean Close, St Edward’s, Cheltenham Ladies’ College and Cheltenham College.
