Property description
Radcliffe & Rust Estate Agents are delighted to offer, to let, this well-positioned two bedroom apartment located in the popular Fitzgerald Place development, Cambridge. Situated just to the north of the city centre, this location offers excellent access to a wide range of amenities, with Cambridge North Train Station approximately 1 mile away, providing direct links to London and beyond. The Grafton Shopping Centre is around 1.5 miles away, while Cambridge city centre is approximately 2 miles from the property, offering an extensive selection of shops, restaurants and cultural attractions. The area is also ideally placed for access to Cambridge Science Park (approx. 1 mile) and Cambridge Business Park, making it particularly appealing for professionals. Residents can enjoy nearby green spaces including Midsummer Common and Stourbridge Common, both within easy reach, as well as riverside walks along the River Cam. With convenient access to the A14 (approx. 0.5 miles), this location perfectly combines connectivity, green surroundings and everyday convenience.
The apartment is accessed via the communal areas of the development, with both lift and stair access available. Upon entering the property, you are welcomed into a bright and airy entrance hallway finished with attractive oak wood flooring, which continues through much of the accommodation. Directly opposite the entrance is a large double-door storage cupboard, providing useful space for coats, shoes and general household items.
Moving through the hallway, the first room is the principal bedroom. This is a generous double bedroom enjoying plenty of natural light from two tall south-facing windows. The room continues the warm wood-effect flooring and will be offered with the main bedroom furniture remaining as part of the furnished tenancy. The principal bedroom also benefits from its own contemporary en-suite shower room, finished with cream and grey stone-effect tiling and comprising a walk-in shower with rainfall shower head and additional attachment, W.C., hand basin, large mirror and heated towel rail.
Adjacent is the second bedroom, another well-proportioned room with a south-facing window and matching wood-effect flooring. As shown within the marketing photographs, the room is currently arranged as a home office, although its proportions allow it to be used as a second bedroom, guest room or working-from-home space as required.
Opposite the second bedroom is the main bathroom, finished in neutral cream wall and floor tiles. The bathroom comprises a bath with glass shower screen and overhead stainless steel shower, W.C., hand basin and heated towel rail.
At the end of the hallway is the impressive open-plan kitchen, dining and living space. This bright and spacious room enjoys excellent natural light from the large glazed doors leading onto the balcony, creating an attractive main living area. The wood-effect flooring continues throughout the living and dining areas, which will be offered with the majority of the larger furniture shown within the photographs remaining, providing a comfortable and ready-to-enjoy furnished home.
The kitchen is subtly separated from the living area by cream tiled flooring and is fitted with a range of contemporary units, combining warm wood-effect base units with complementary cream wall units and contrasting dark grey worktops. A grey tiled splashback completes the finish, while integrated appliances include a fridge/freezer, gas hob, electric oven, extractor fan and dishwasher, together with a stainless steel sink and drainer. Under-cupboard lighting provides a practical finishing touch.
Double doors from the living area open directly onto the private south-facing balcony. Finished with decking and enclosed by a contemporary glass balustrade, this provides an excellent outdoor space for enjoying the warmer months and benefits from pleasant views across the development.
Externally, residents benefit from a communal private car park, with the apartment having allocated parking, together with secure locked bike storage. Fitzgerald Place also enjoys particularly convenient access to Logan’s Meadow, the Equiano Bridge and the surrounding green open spaces, offering an excellent balance between city living and access to nature.
Offered furnished, with the majority of the larger furniture shown within the marketing photographs remaining, this attractive apartment would make an excellent home for professionals looking for modern accommodation with convenient access to Cambridge city centre, Cambridge North Station and the city’s major employment hubs.
