3 Bedrooms, Detached, Ground floor bedroom, 2 Bath/Shower rooms, Rural
-bedroom detached farmhouse available to rent on a long-term basis. Recently reported by Business Wales A tiny village in rural Wales now has access to some of the fastest broadband speeds in Europe. The community of Llanymawddwy is situated to the east of Dolgellau in Gwynedd, at the head of the Afon Dyfi. But despite its isolated setting, when it comes to the internet, it is as well connected as any of part of London, Paris or Rome. It is thanks to a Community Fiber Partnership between residents and Openreach. This has seen Fiber-to-the-Premise (FTTP) technology installed, where fiber is run directly from the exchange all the way to 70 rural properties. Llanymawddwy can be found to the north of the larger village of Dinas Mawddwy, on the minor road which connects Dinas Mawddwy to Llanuwchllyn and Lake Vyrnwy, over Bwlch y Groes (Pass of the cross), and is one of the highest public road mountain passes in Wales, with a summit altitude of 545 meters (1,788 ft). The most notable building is St. Tydecho parish church The southern ascent of the Bwlch y Groes, which is approximately 1.7 miles long with severe gradients throughout (steepest 1 in 4), was renowned throughout the 1970s and 80s as the most challenging climb used in the Milk Race round-Britain cycle race. The ascent is included among the hundred greatest cycling climbs in Britain, being a remorseless ascent of about 1,150 ft over a distance of about 2.2 miles The property is ideally suited for a professional couple or family. The property features the following accommodation: 3 Double Bedrooms Lounge with wood-burning stove Farmhouse style Dining/Kitchen, including some white goods Biofuel heating White Bathroom Suite Ground floor bedroom with en-suite shower room parking for several cars A small pet would be considered with an additional deposit. This is a non-smoking property.
